Since personal privacy integrity is at the very core of our business, Acquire Marketing Services success depends implicitly upon its ability to maintain the trust of the people viewing our products.
Acquire Marketing Services encourages its list management and brokerage clients to comply with the Direct Marketing Association Privacy Promise.
This policy provides effective guidelines for honoring and respecting the privacy by:
- Mailers should provide customers with notice of their ability to opt out or be removed from future mailings/telemarketing. The notice should give a specific method of requesting to opt out.
- Once a person selects to be opted out, their name is transferred to an in-house suppress file so they will stop receiving solicitations. And, that individual's contact information is no longer transferred to others for marketing purposes.
- An individual who wants to be removed from all mail or telephone solicitations should be given information on how to contact the DMA's Preference Services so that participating mailers or telemarketers will be able to remove the name. See below for more information.
- Using one or more of the DMA Preference Services (mail, telemarketing or e-mail) to suppress names from campaigns for individuals who have requested not to be included in these solicitation efforts.
